Premises Licence Restrictions
Our premises licence covers:
- a performance of a play
- a performance of live music
- any playing of recorded music
- a performance of dance
- entertainment facilities for making music
- entertainment facilities for dancing
Other activities, such as the sale of alcohol, require a temporary event notice from South Hams District Council.
Our licence has the following time restrictions:
- Monday to Friday 8am – midnight
- Saturday 8am – 11:45pm (11pm for plays)
- Sunday 8am – 10:30pm
Safeguarding Children, Young People, and Adults at Risk
All those running activities in the hall must ensure that any activities for children, young people and adults at risk are only provided by fit and proper persons in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and 2004, the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 and any subsequent legislation. When requested, organizers must provide us with a copy of their Safeguarding Policy and evidence that they have carried out relevant checks through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). All reasonable steps must be taken to prevent harm, and to respond appropriately when harm does occur. Relevant concerns must be reported.
